Every day we re-check your exact booking against the live market — your flight, cabin, and fare brand, or your hotel, room, and rate. Same booking, apples to apples.
When the price drops, we lock in the lower price. For flights we reprice in place — same flight, seat, and confirmation number, and the airline credits you the difference. For refundable hotels we rebook the identical room at the cheaper rate, so you keep the stay and pocket the savings.
Pricing

For flights, no — we reprice the very same flight in place, so you keep the same flight, seat, cabin, and confirmation number, and only the price changes. For a refundable hotel, we rebook the identical room (same hotel, dates, and room type) at the lower rate; you keep the same stay and just pay less.
Then you pay nothing. Our 25% success fee only ever applies when we secure you a credit, and it never exceeds what you saved.

Major US airlines, plus refundable hotels from the major chains (Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Hyatt, and more). For flights we compare live fares for your exact flight, cabin, and fare brand; for refundable hotels we compare the identical room and rate — so any save is for the exact booking you made.
We store only what we need to monitor your booking. Sensitive details like your record locator or hotel confirmation number are encrypted, and we never store your card number — payments run through Stripe. If you connect your inbox, Lumo reads it read-only to find flight confirmations — we parse only those, never store the raw email, and never sell your data. Sign-in is handled by Google.
For flights, the airline issues the credit directly to you when we reprice. For refundable hotels, we rebook you onto the cheaper identical rate, so you simply pay less. Either way, Lumo charges its 25% success fee to your card on file — nothing more.
